Class Portugal

This term PE will take place on a Monday and Wednesday, however having the correct kit available in school throughout the week is essential. If your child is unable to take part in a PE activity, please send a note into school. Unless circumstances dictate, children will still be expected to change into their PE kit and participate as non-physical performer. This may include observing, assessing, providing feedback, officiating or using ICT to capture images within the lesson. If children forget all or part of their PE kit a polite note will be recorded in their reading diaries.

Welcome to Class Portugal!

Did you know that Portugal has the longest bridge in Europe- the Vasco da Gama bridge! Also the custom of drinking tea was brought to England by the Portuguese wife of King Charles II.

Our teachers are Mrs Hiorns working alongside Mrs Archer, our fabulous teaching assistant. We also have Mrs Dillon teaching us on a Tuesday afternoon,  while Mrs Green teaches us on a Friday afternoon.

This term we are all busy finding out more about the Anglo-Saxons, inspired by our new class novel- "The Buried Crown" by Ally Sherrick. We are looking forward to our Anglo-Saxon workshop on Friday, September 28th.
