Friday 2nd March-School Remaining Closed

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you have been enjoying the snow and making memories with your little ones. We made the decision to close the school as the safety of everyone connected to the school is paramount. Today, we have taken all factors into consideration including the fact that the roads around Grantham and Sleaford and connecting roads have either been impassable or closed. The official guidance to schools this afternoon remains that the situation has not improved and is unlikely to change in the next 24 hours. Schools have been advised that travel is not recommended unless absolutely necessary. To ensure that we prioritise the safety of everyone, we have taken the difficult decision to remain closed on Friday 2nd March.

I am keen to let you know this as early as is physically possible so you can make any necessary arrangements whilst the school is closed. We are aiming for the school to re-open on Monday and will ensure that all channels of communication are updated to confirm this ahead of Monday.

I hope you all continue to be safe and warm. We look forward to seeing you next week when hopefully all will have returned to normal!

Best Wishes,

Mr Sam Eden (Headteacher)
