Character Curriculum

What is a Character Curriculum?

Here at Ancaster, we are always striving to allow every child to 'be the best they can be', allowing all children to flourish.

Beyond the National Curriculum, we also teach children about -

- Behaviour towards each other

- Promotion of consideration of others, respect, good manners and courtesy

- Importance of discipline

- Promoting positive character traits

- Service to others

- Breaking down social barriers

- Ensure all children are welcomed and valued.

We have four Castle Teams - Belvoir, Grimsthorpe, Lincoln and Tattershall. The children earn team points when they are seen demonstrating these characters or following our school rules - Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe.
